DESCRIPTION: Here is a lovely Haviland, Limoges shallow bowl decorated in a hard to find variation of the Baltimore Rose pattern on the Star Blank. The bowl is marked with the green underglazed Haviland France mark and the arched red Haviland & Co., Limoges decorator mark, dating it to circa 1893-1931. The decoration consists of a soft pink background with a gorgeous spray of white roses and green leaves that drape across the plate. There is heavy gold around the rim of the bowl, and there is raised, white enameling on the roses. The porcelain is thin and translucent and rings beautifully.
CONDITION: The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. The gold and paint are in very good condition, showing slight wear.
SIZE: The bowl measures 9 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches tall.
SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: All items will be shipped insured but I do not use delivery confirmation unless requested. The insurance will be included in the handling fee so if you use a postal calculation based on what you think it might weigh, then take into consideration that the additional cost is for insurance and handling. The shipping costs are estimated to the best of my ability, but if I miscalculate by a great margin, I have been known to send back a partial reimbursement for overcharges.
