Early American pewter candlesticks, pair, unmarked. The design looks similar to Sellew & Co. of Cincinatti, 1830's on. Overall height, 9 ". Diameter across bottom about 4". Five gadrooned sections Noticeable dent on shaft of one stick. Removable bobeches but one is difficult to remove. One bobeche is bent out of shape (see picture) but the pewter is malleable. The bases are wobbly, and one is bent. T is sodering on both sticks w the gadrooned borders join the sticks. The candlesticks are well worn and need some tlc(tender loving care). Still the design is handsome and mid-western pewter is quite collectable. No reserve. Shipping $11.00. Check or m.o. is fine. PayPal is acceptable. E.mail any questions.
