Amstel Plate

Amstel porcelain plate, probably late 18thc, very finely painted with a lake scene .

Marked in underglaze blue: Amstel and incised L4 .

Good condition, but there are some glaze cracks between the scene and the border between 5 and 11 o'clock (mainly parallel with the border but only on the front) and some gilt wear to the edge which shows signs of having been touched up in places (at its worst around 8 o'clock).

Diameter: approx. 190mm or 7 1/2"
