Anique 1934 Rustic Wood GUN BOX, Copper Plate Inscription, BRADNER, Warwick NY

Up for sale is a wonderful old piece of history.

This is a handmade gun holder or gun box from 1934. It comes from Warwick New York (Upstate). It is a solid wood box with some brass color metal ware, rusted a bit as shown, and with what seems to be a copper plate on top with the makers information which says "Bradner, Warwick, 1934", so apparently was made by a member of a family named Bradner. It is a really neat little box and has a strip of leather inside as well as 2 wood bumpers. The interior also is stamped/lettered with the warning "Never point gun at self or anyone!" with the charming old style black letters. It is in nice old condtion with all the bangs and rust and marks it should have. Please note that I did replace 2 screws from one of the back hinges as I show in the 9th photo above. I tried to find OLD nails to match but I could not. You could always replace those should you find them. Otherwise all in original condition, and a great display and conversation piece. It measures about 20" long, 3" tall and 5.5" in width.
