Antique/1880-1930 Ceramic Tile>Dogs/Rabbit>Screenprint

Antique/1880-1930 Ceramic Tile. Screenprinted, probably a popular print or topic of the time. Unknown maker and artist. Great design, featuring two dogs which get so involved in working out which of them is going to get to the rabbit they are chasing first, that they lose their quarry as it disappears into the hollowed out area under the tree. Hence the "AH!" at the lower left corner. Great condition for a salvaged piece: old tiny nicks along the edges, but no large chips, cracks, hairlines or loss of design, which is rendered in fine "sepia" lines with verve and skill. Very light age-related grazing; one thin, very shallow and short(1/2") mark just above the white dog (?knife) . 6" x 6" 3/8". The surface is flat and straight. Weighs 15 ozs. by itself, before boxing.
