Antique 1883 Grove & Stark Rosebud Very Large Water Pitcher - Brown transfer ware stamped with registered mark & date for G&S Rosebud. Transferware is "Strawberry Pattern". G&S was owned by Frederick Wedgwood Grove & John Stark and based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England from 1871-1884. Lovely sculpted handle with rose pattern. Cartouche of boy & girl holding hands and walking together with two birds perched on top. A strawberry bush displays behind picture. There is a chip underneath the spout of pitcher (see pics 8 & 9). Hairline web crack on bottom of pitcher, but does not show through to inside (see pics). Please expect normal wear to this 130 year old piece. Pitcher measures 12" high by 10" wide at handle.
