Antique 19th C Stoneware Flower Decorated 3 Gallon Pennsylvania Jug 15 1/4"

We are listing for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th century Stoneware Salt Glazed Cobalt Blue Flower Decorated Pennsylvania 3 Gallon Jug. This jug is in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks, and or repairs. There is some light firing browning in areas, you can refer to the pictures. We guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the exceptional condition. The jug measures 15 1/4" tall x 2 1/4" at the spout x 9 1/2" wide x 9 1/4" at the base and weighs approximately 11lbs. The jug features a wonderful upward pointing double blooming flower in cobalt blue along with a small 3 in blue for gallons. Great bright rich cobalt blue, the lower leaves look like little hearts. A great cylindrical form to this jug with a hand tooled top pour spout and small applied handle. The dot below to the right of the flower is a cobalt blue drip mark. We believe this is a Central Pennsylvania piece from the manner of the flower decoration, possibly a Miller, dating from the mid to late 1800's. A great 3 gallon decorated stoneware jug, it would make a great addition to anyone's collection. If you have any questions please email. We will ship via USPS and will insure. Best of luck and thanks.
