We are offering this 4/4 violin in as found condition. It has no finish on the top, there are no cracks in the top, there is separation to the top from the ribbing on the lower bout of the E string side. This has four good gear tuners, it has a inlaid purfling, it is lined and blocked, the violin is 23" in total length and has a 14 1/4" body length. The neck is solid to the body, you can see the center seam all the way down the back, this sea has been repaired in the past. The sound post is set and has a string tied on it. This is a old violin around 1880's I believe, it is hand made, hand carved scroll and the scroll has two small nicks in it. The violin is labeled and I believe some of the label is missing. I have a photo of it and you will know what it is. The bow we have that is included in this auction is signed Heddon C. The bow has a plain frog, good tip, it is in need of re-haired and it is straight. The bow is 29 3/8" long. This outfit comes in a wooden case that is in very rough condition. Please ask with any further questions. Thanks, Mark
