For bids is this wonderful late 1800s, 4 page, colored, paper hand-out extolling WELLS RICHARDSON LACTATED FOOD FOR INFANTS AND INVALIDS , produced by a company of the same name, of Burlington, Vermont USA.
Pages 1 and 4 of this 5-1/2 inches by 8-1/4 inches advertisement, each depict, in color, three ethnic infants posed inside of a Well Richardson Lactated Food container. Along with these pictures are rhymes about the virtues of the Food, and other illustrations. Lower right of page one is the name of the printer, Cosack & Co Buffalo, N.Y>.
The inner two pages is printed, in black on white, testimony, rhyme, and other blurbs promoting Lactated Food.
Considering age and material this give-away is in fairly good condition. T is a fold crease to the left of center and top to bottom, of the front page, and appears on the next page as well. The upper left of the centerfold edge is crinkled, and the lower left corner of the fold has a small piece missing. T is some light smudging and soiling on the pages but the pictures and text are pretty clear and legible.
