DESCRIPTION I've been to some fabulous high-end estate sales of late, so please check my other auctions. It astounds me that a 127-year-old utilitarian ceramic piece could possibly be in this pristine condition. What a fabulous thing this is! This chamber pot was made by George Jones & Sons in Staffordshire, England. The pattern is Ivy Bower and it's decorated in an Aesthetic Period style with ivy (of course) with plump little birds. The bird on the top of the lid is leaning toward a little winged insect. The lid is 9 1/2" in diameter. The diameter of the pot is 8 3/4" and it's 5 1/4" tall. It looks like it was made yesterday instead of September 29, 1881. Both lid and pot are marked. You'll never find another. By the way, I have another chamber pot listed! Always happy to combine shipping and provide additional photos. Thanks and good luck! PLEASE DO READ THE FINE PRINT! I want to make this transaction as hassel-free for both of us as I possibly can. Your reading information that I have provided on shipping and handling fees and payment and invoicing will be greatly beneficial to that process! By placing a bid, your are indicating your acceptance of these policies and processes.
