Thank you for viewing my auction. This listing is for a Antique Archer's Philadelphia 1842 Brass Kerosene Lamp. American made. This lamp has stamped on the base Archer's Patent Philada June 18th, 1842. Beautiful patina, burner on top is patent dated March 29, 1870. Stands 16 1/4 inches tall the base is 5 1/2 inches wide. The top unscrews for filling. However, it looks like it had been made into an electric lamp at one time, as t is a hole in the base for a cord, and a hole in the bottom of kerosene tank. Needs burner or electric light to make it work. If using for kerosene, you will need to close the hole inside the resevoir. Condition is very good, castiron weight on the bottom to keep it stable. One very small dent on the top. Contact me with any questions. Winning bidder pays $3.95 USPS Priority Mail shipping and handling any w in the USA. Shipping time takes 2 to 5 working days. Insurance extra if desired. International shipping requires extra cost and will be shipped USPS, email for a quote to your country.
