DESCRIPTION:
Fresh estate sale find of a magnificent floor lamp. T are two notable things about this lamp that I am not positive about. First I think the glass is most likely Jefferson glass, second this floor lamp is an unusual old oil lamp, with wiring running up the side as the barley twist bar has no hole for a wire to run through it. Also it may have been intentionally wired in this manner when produced. Also notable as well is it does appear it may be a Miller lamp. T are letters that I have enlarged on the top of the lamp that look like it may have Miller going across, you will have to be the judge.
The glass shade is done incredibly well, it is etched and reverse painted with each Blue Bird being slightly different. It is a well crafted shade with a very heavy frost, with the reverse painted Blue Birds, these birds are outlined first by being etched in which you can see in the photos. I have not seen a lamp like this before. T is some very slight flea type bites from the slug screws that set the shade securely to the adjustable Bridge arm.
T is also an enlarged photo of the wing nut w the shade and light can be adjusted up or down.
