Antique Buffalo Bill Scout Clock Figure Statue Topper

Up for auction is a large metal figure that I believe was made for an antique clock. It appears to depict William "Buffalo Bill" Cody and is very similar to a famous bronze statue titled "The Scout". The figure is made of spelter or a similar metal and painted a dark bronze color. The statue stands about 9" tall and has an oval base about 8 1/2" long. The underside of the base has old cloth felt. I purchased this figure at an estate sale several weeks ago. The previous owner collected and repaired clocks. Condition of this antique clock figure is FAIR. The paint is very nice with little wear. It's biggest condition problem is that the rider has been separated from the horse and is currently loose (just sitting on top of horse). It should be a simple job to reattach the rider with some strong glue. I also noticed that a portion of the saddle with an attached leg was broken off at one time and repaired with glue. It's very difficult to notice this repair when the rider is in place. Overall, this antique clock figure looks great and displays well. It would be perfect for a figural clock restoration project.
