We are pleased to offer you this beautiful and fine old antique sterling silver and marcasite ornate bow pin, or brooch! This is a high quality, well made , heavy little piece of art...it weighs 5.1 grams, and is 1 7/8" long, and 1/2" wide at the flared ends. The design is an aesthetic one, with filigree scrolls, a center raised florette, set with marcasites, the ribbed wrap around ribbon twist, and he flared ends , ornately beaded and set with more marcasites!! This reminds me of a Fahrner piece! It is marked '925' on back, and it appears that someone has replaced the old 'c' claps with an early form of a safety clasp, for they really valued this fine old piece! It has a rich patina, without looking tacky, as it never could, for this is a veritable fine wearable masterpiece! Thank you for your interest!
