FREE WORLDWIDE DELIVERY! A rare and attractive porcelain lidded teapot with moulded and shaped body decorated with red and blue painted floral designs highlighted with gilt and dating from around 1770 and probably by William Duesbury. The rounded teapot has a moulded loop handle and flat sided pouring spout. The teapot has its original domed lid with pine cone finial and has a gold painted Chelsea Derby mark to the base. Maker & Origin Chelsea Derby with gold painted mark to the base as shown Date Dates from around 1770 Size Height 16,5cm, Width 21,5cm Condition The teapot is offered in overall good condition with an old stapled repair to the finial on the lid. There is also a surface chip to the rim of the lid with some minor chipping to the tip of the spout. A small section has also been reattached to the foot rim with some light rubbing to the gilding.
