Antique Country Primitive Wooden Nutmeg Spice Grinder

is a late 1800's wooden nutmeg grinder in excellent, well-preserved condition. It is right out of a country estate and had been hidden away for decades. Although it hasn't been used in a very long time, it still has a pleasant aroma inside!

This grinder was made of oak and has a very nice grain and a folksy-looking style. It's still as we found it with its original patina...we have not refinished, waxed, oiled, or even cleaned this item up. It shows some wear and age but is in excellent condition. Super cute, this old kitchen tool is only about 5 1/2 inches high with a bottom diameter of 1 5/8 inches. The inside is fitted with punched tin to break down spices. T is a bottom section that acts as a receptacle for the freshly ground nutmeg, pepper, etc. This piece screws on and off thanks to a primitively carved, fitted notch. This is truly a scarce, antique kitchen impliment that sells to the highest bidder without reserve. The winning bidder adds postage. Good luck!
