English Oak Carved Gothic Revival Hall Chair Ornate Open Carved Back, Quarter Sawn "Tiger" Oak Grain Direct from England, this listing is for an exquisite carved "hall chair", referring to the original use of this style and size chair. Originally hall chairs were found in the receiving area of a home, w a butler would ask guests to sit patiently until the master (or Mrs.!!) of the house was ready to receive their company. In today's market, these ornate chairs are used throughout the home or office, as accent chairs in the foyer...or fireside......or in the den, bedroom.......basically anyw you want to have an additional focus piece that will certainly command some attention........and it be unlike anything anyone else has!!!
