~ Early Victorian English Decanter Jar ~ Large & Bulbous Shaped ~ It Stands 11"H x 4 1/2" across the opening ~ 8 1/4" across the widest part ~ 6 1/4" across the base ~~ Unpacked weight - 7 1/4 lbs. ~ Lustrous (almost irridescent) Mocha Brown Exterior ~ Glazed Natural Sandy Stoneware Interior ~ Although unmarked, I feel fairly certain this unique antique urn is Royal Doulton related ~ The raised relief images of three old fellas imbibing in wine appear to be identical to those I've seen on other marked Doulton pieces (including eBay item #220019262047) ~ The other appliques include a Royal English emblem & banner decorated with roses & an eagle ~ Clustered grapes ~ And alas! Once t were two, but now only one Lion remains The lion's demise is the one notable flaw on this regal collectible, but I must also point out a 1/18" glaze chip on the top outside edge. Defintely not glaring, as the visible nicked area is charcoal & dark like the brown glaze ~ Please enlarge all the pictures for a closer peek, but especially the one which shows the Michael Davis/Avalon Antique sticker, as this is the best view for the partially missing lion. ~ Thanks for peeking ~ Questions definately encouraged ~ Always happy to respond! ~~ You may need to know ~ T's NO PayPal in my little eBay corner ~ ALL ABOUT SHIPPING ~ Please know that a snuggly wrapped
