Up for auction is an early Victorian pair of gold earrings with fringe on them. They are quite lovely. The h all marks are very small and hard to decipher even with a jeweler's loup. One hallmark looks like it is possibly a curved horn but could, in fact, be something else and the other looks to be a crown with 800 under it. I checked various articles online and found one that stated that 800 was an early french mark for 19k gold. These earrings are very well made and the posts would have been added later but the posts are also quite old themselves. Approx. 1" long.
