This is an antique 4 gallon Red Wing stoneware butter churn with original bail handles, patent date of 1915 in blue, and perfectly fitting lid marked 3&4 on top that looks Red Wing, but I can't say for sure. It is a little unusual because these are not typically found with the bail handles and patent date. The outside surface of the churn has no visible cracks, but there are a few tiny, faint crow's feet on the inside that do not go through (they are slightly visible in the close-up photo of the inside, but they are almost too faint to see), and there is a crack in the lid that is visible on both top and bottom surface. The bottom edges of both churn and lid have a few chips, also visible in the photos. The damage is not noticeable from the front and the churn displays beautifully. It measures 16" H x 9 1/2" in diameter and the lid measures 8" in diameter. It will be packed securely, double boxed, and fully insured during shipping.
