Antique Galvanized Milk Porch Box - Alexandria Virginia Dairy

This milk porch box is labeled "Alexandria Dairy," in red on the front, and the same name is stamped into the metal on the top. The Alexandria Dairy was organized in 1930, but its facilities had been replaced by townhouses in the 1970s.

The box is 9" x 9" x 11.5", and is in the condition shown. The inside of the top lid reads, "THE MAN WHO MADE THIS BOX NEVER SAW IT. WASHINGTON SOCIETY FOR THE BLIND, WASHINGTON D.C."
