This charming antique doll has a bisque head and wooden and paper-mâché body with movable joints. The body is in very good condition. 17" tall. Her delicate features: eyebrows, eyelashes, lips are beautifully painted. She was given to me by my grandmother (1890-1972) when I was a little girl. The mechanism holding her eyes in place has broken and they have fallen into her head, but they are there and are repairable. She is missing a tooth. While she retains her original mohair wig, it needs some TLC. The doll appears to be by Kestner, stamped on the back of her head: "IHK3 Made in Germany." She is a wonderful example of a 19th century doll!
