THIS AUCTION IS FOR 2 CHALKWARE HALF DOLLS.The pretty antique half dolls are complete in their presentation. Often the nose of an arm is broken off. Each is in very good condition and has lovely handpainted features. They feature different colored hair and flapper girl bow lips. These pretty busts were the tops of popular pincushion dolls. Chalkware was often a carnival prize during the Depression. They were commonly known as BOUDOIR DOLLS. Measurements: They measure approximately 6" tall x 2 1/2" wide at the arms with a 3" base. Condition: They are in great condition with very few signs of wear on these utilitarian item. There are NO cracks or chips in the lovely chalkware busts. Because of the nature of the plaster material they are made of, there were naturally imperfections when they were created. Maker's Mark: Both are very prominently marked C.
