Presented here for your consideration is this� sweet antique German bisque� head Hertel & Schwab 151 character baby doll, with multiple layers of antique clothing! This petite baby measures an easy to display 9 1/2" long and has a� solid dome bisque head. She has dark brown glass sleep eyes that are rimmed in finely painted lashes underneath expressive multi-stroke eyebrows. The doll has full cheeks and a double chin with a dimple. Her smiling mouth is open to reveal two upper baby teeth. She has a solid dome head that has finely painted brush strokes to indicate blond hair, with just the suggestion of a molded curl resting on her forehead. The factory markings are only faintly incised on the back of the head, making it difficult to read. I can make out the word Germany and the mold number 151 along with a zero as part of the size number. The composition body has elastic string jointing at the neck, shoulders and hips on a five piece bent limb baby body. The stringing is sufficiently tight to hold a pose. Please note that it appears that the doll has had some work done on the right hand, as well as some re-painting of the body. This little baby comes with multiple layers of antique clothing.
