ANTIQUE IRONSTONE ASHWORTH BROS. IMARI TUREEN W/ LID
The large Ironstone tureen featured below measures 12 inches in length, 9 ½ in width and stands about 6 inches. The Chinese style pattern was first produced in many variations by many makers of ironstone wares in the Staffordshire district of central England in the 19th century. The pattern “Coloured Willow” is similar to the famous Willow pattern and was patented by the firm of G. L. Ashworth & Bros., founded in 1862 at Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The tureen has some crazing on the underside. It is free from chips or fleabites and is in wonderful vintage condition. Please be kind with feedback ratings.
