Keris pusaka Jangkung from Yoygakartawith very nice pamor. This is a very nice 3 luk (wave) keris from Yogyakarta, Central Jawa. Yogyakarta is situated in the central of Java and is one the most important city for the keris, with the keraton and big history of keris. The dapur (shape) of the keris is Jangkung (Djangkung). This 3 luk dapor is very rare. Special about this keris is that this Keris is very old, as you can see on the blade, but t is still a very clear visable pamor in this Keris. If you look closely a the big pictures, you can notice the very fine details in the pamor. Special about this Keris is the size, this keris is quite small (42 cm) comparing to other Kerisses, this type is called a Keris Patrem (also know as Women's Keris). These kind of Kerisses are very rare. This keris is very old, probably made 17th century . The wooden handle is "Nunggak Semi" and and typical from Yogyakarta. As you can see the handle is matching well with the scabbard and keris. The wooden warangka (scabbard) has a Gayaman style (shape of kidney) from Yoyga. The wood is very nice with a nice Pelet grain. The kerisblade is +/- 25 cm and the total length of the keris in the scabbard is 42 cm. Off course the low starting bid is less then the actual value and only to encourage you to give a good bid on this nice keris. Please watch the pictures
