This listing is for an antique ladies' court robe from China during the Qing Dynasty (around 1850-1899 I believe). This comes from a friend's estate who collects a variety of Oriental antiques, Americana and vintage clothing. It's a very beautiful, deep magenta colored silk robe with dragons embroidered all around with metallic detailing on the collar and six-frog closure panel. The back has a gorgeous, dynamic design. I wish I knew more to say on this piece -- hopefully the pictures will speak well. There is slight fading on the back under the collar and on the sleeves. Metallic thread detail has been fading and/or coming apart, and there are a few loose threads throughout. There is a small 2 1/2" rip on the back near the collar. Please see the photos for reference. The robe measures 38.5 inches in length and is 60" wide (from cuff to cuff). It has 19" sleeves. I have not attempted to repair this garment in any way and is as-is. I would say it is in fairly good condition for its age. If you have any questions, or would like to see more photos, please feel free to eBay message me. I would be more than happy to assist. Thanks for looking!
