This is a rare opportunity to buy the two items at the one time.

The Letterpress was purchased 75 years ago from Bank of New South Wales being obsolete equipment.

The Letter Book (new) came from a city warehouse about 40 years ago at the clearance of their archives

preparatory to the demolition of the building.

The letterpress is constructed from cast iron, the plates are 375mm x 240 mm with a gap of 70 mm when fully opened. It is painted black with brass knobs (one slightly dented)

This item is heavy (guess ed as 25KG+) and too heavy for posting so is for pick up only. Located on the Central Coast – The Entrance area.

The Letter Book, which has never been used has pages 210 mm x 270 mm (thickness 18 mm)and contains an A-Z index covering 15 sheets ruled vertically and horizontaly on both sides followed by 400 tissue paper sheets numbered 101 to 500.

The spine and corners are in tan leather with red label reading “Letter Book”, the edges of the book have red spatter as if found on ledgers dating from that era. The covers are mottled green paper with some missing spots revealing the cardboard below
