ANTIQUE Milleflore Paperweight Glass Ink Well Going green? Save Green . Go Antiques! From a very old New England farm house. This ink well was part of a lot of paperweights. The ink was made from blown glass and has a recessed polished pontil area. The stopper was also blown. The ink bottom is has four caned milleflore circles in red, white, blue, black and yellow. No marks. Probably English, could be Whitefriars but I can't be certain and probably made last half of the 19th century. Measures about 3 1/8 inches across and around 4 inches high. Wear as t should be on bottom; bubbles and a bubble trail in the glass. T's a ding in the lip and another on the side (about 1/8 in.); stopper damaged on bottom (see picture). Bidding starts at $45 with no reserve. My Policies (please read carefully) : Authentic antiques, old and vintage items are sold on this site. They've been around for quite some time.
