is a beautiful piece of hand thrown pottery by James Franklin Seagle who was the son of Daniel Seagle who is said to be one of the first potters in the Catawba Valley region of North Carolina. It is stamped JFS and is a 3/4 Gal. size I believe. It is around 10 inches tall. It has a beautiful alkaline glaze. T is one area w the glaze did not cover completely. T is a small chip on the inside of the rim. The handle has been broken in several areas and glued back together very nicely. See photos for exact condition. The handle is strong and t were no missing pieces. T are no cracks or other repairs. I am starting this piece to reflect the damage. This is a very nice piece and a fairly rare size of James Franklin Seagle made pottery. Don't miss this one and check out my piece of Thomas Rithchie pottery that I am listing tonight also. Thanks and good luck.
