Beautiful large antique semi-porcelain water pitcher- Blue floral transferware marked pitcher. There are some extra details in the mold around the center of the pitcher and on the spout. There is painting around the center that appears to be applied after firing. A really nice touch is the detail painted on the inside of the rim. - J.H.W. & Sons is J.H. Weatherby & Sons, one of the Stoke-on-Trent potters- Hanley mark started being used in 1892 in Hanley, England.- There are no chips, cracks or flakes. Some roughness on inner rim where the stopper sits. There is some haziness that looks like hard water stains to me. There are some straw marks and also scratches from wear on the bottom.- It measures 12" tall and 8" in diameter at its widest point not including the handle or spout. NO RESERVE!! PLEASE READ SHIPPING NOTES: I used to leave it up to the buyer to decide if they'd like to spend the money to insure an item. I started having problems with people saying the item never showed up. After a few of these, I started including insurance in the price of shipping. This makes shipping costs appear to be much higher but no packages were ever lost in the mail. As an effort to reduce shipping costs, I will only include insurance if the buyer requests it. Please understand that I won't self-insure packages. Please add $1.85 to the shipping read more
