Description: This a unique JADE-ITE rolling pin with a capped end. I have researched all kinds of books and manuals on these pins to try to determine if this one is authentic or if it is a reproduction. What I can determine is that authentic jade-ite has no markings and no molded letters; authentic jade-ite has more indiscreet mold seams than do reproductions. Authentic jade-ite has imperfections, since the molds were not as nicely made as recent molds. This pin has no markings or molded letters. It has mold lines that are barely visible and it has numerous imperfections with swirl marks in the glass, as can be seen in the photographs . So, based on this research, I can only assume that this JADE-ITE rolling pin is not a reproduction. If you know more about Jade-ite and can help with identification, I am open to corrections,I have owned this pin for many years. I bought it from a lady in Connecticut. It's in great shape and beautiful.Measurements: From handle end to handle end; 14 inches long 8 7/8 inches around the roller.Great piece to display in a primitive kitchen or, it's still in good enough shape to use!If I have made a mistake on any of my postings, I am open for other's opinions. If I have made a mistake, it is due to ignorance...not dishonesty. I am not selling items to get rich. I am selling them because I have to downsize
