Antique R.S. Prussia Footed Bowl – Triple Marks - Gorgeous! Up for auction is an exquisite and unusual R.S. Prussia Footed Bowl. This is a magnificent piece of Prussia! The bowl is approximately 9 ¼ inches in length, 7 ¼ inches wide and 3 inches deep. The bowl is decorated on both the inside and the outside with pink and yellow roses. The background is shades of pale green with gold and darker green accents. T are open cut out handles at either end. The handles and the top edge are also rimmed with gold. The feet and the decorative mold patterns around the lower edge of the bowl are all accented in gold as well. I believe this is a satin finish. The colors and detail in the painting both inside and outside of the bowl are gorgeous! I have taken a lot of pictures so you can examine it closely. The shape and design are very unusual. T are no chips, cracks, crazing or signs of repair. T is very light paint wear mostly around the outer edges of the dish. The mold number is 704. One of the marks on the back is referred to as Mark 8 - it is made up of the R.S. Prussia red mark (the red and green R.S. Prussia wreath mark) as well as a script mark that says Reinhold Schlegelmilch, Tillowitz, Germany. T is also an incised mark that says GERMANY. I have included a picture of the underside of the bowl so you’ll be able to see the detail read more
