Antique Satsuma Moriage Early Export Cup & Pitcher Set of 2 Lot of two unsigned pieces with very nice hand-painted vignettes. Circa late 19th Century. Cup stands 2-3/4" tall, 2-7/8" across at the handle. Unglazed rim, glazed bottom. Hand-painted western-taste florals. No chips or cracks, but has lost four of the pale pink beads on the handle. Otherwise excellent, lovely fresh colors. Pitcher is 3-1/8" high at the raised spout, 3-1/2" across at the handle. Unglazed rim, glazed bottom. Hand-painted Japanese lake and mountain scenes in the western taste . Slip work almost identical to that of the cup. The green slip is worn on the very bottom scallops, and one place on the rim. No chips, cracks, or rough edges. Excellent addition to any collection! Please feel free to ask me anyquestions. .. Fruitcocktail Inventory. . .
