Antique Signed Limoges Game Bird Plate France Hand-Painted French Artist Henriol

This is a Limoges porcelain plate by LRL (Lazeyras, Rosenfeld and Lehman) Limoges with LRL Mark 3 overglaze green logo, dating it to the 1920s. It is French decorated with a hand-painted, wide-eyed game bird in the wild surrounded by beautifully colored foliage and deep purple flowers, as if the bird is hiding in the undergrowth. The plate is artist signed by Henriol, whose work is included in Gaston's "The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges," (plate 111, a similar plate quite similar to this offering). This plate has a gold band on the rim. The piece has no chips or cracks, but there is wear to the image. We think this is a beautiful example of a French decorated Limoges plate, but because of the wear, we are discounting the starting price accordingly. This is a good opportunity to own a wonderful piece of Limoges at a reasonable price. This plate measures 10" across.
