Antique Telegraph Railroad Power Switch Lever Ceramic

Antique On/Off Switch Wow! This auction is for a really neat little power switch that was removed from a railroad agency desk that I have. It must have been used to turn the power on and off on the telegraph device that it was attached to. It is made of brass with a ceramic insulating base. It is the lever type switch that you pull up or down to turn the power on or off. It is a really neat piece and very old - probably 1890s-1910s. The piece is in good condition, but t is a chip or two on the base, and it needs a cleaning. Measures about 2¼" wide. Nice piece!

More about this piece: This auction and all the other railroad related items I have listed this week are from a single estate of a lifelong railroad collector and employee. All of these items were acquired from RR agencies or first hand by him, and are fresh to the market. It is an amazing collection with 1000s of pieces that I will be listing in the next several weeks. Email me if you are looking for specific pieces and I will get them up right away.
