This beautiful antique Victorian brooch is set at its centre with a lovely cushion cut clear sapphire blue stone,surrounded by glittering round cut White Sapphires,set in a finely crafted openwork solid silver design,with its original silver attachment pin on its closed back silver reverse.This highly elegant antique brooch measures 36mm wide and 16mm length,this lovely piece is inscribed with the Continental silver mark "800".The condition of this enchanting Victorian brooch is fair,when viewed through a powerfull 45x Jeweller's loupe,all but 2 of the original firery White Sapphires are present and undamaged,the wonderful openwork design is perfect and the pin sits securely in its silver catch.The only sign of obvious age is reflected in the condition of the blue stone,unfortunately it is significantly chipped (but secure), dispite this damage it still retains much of its original beauty.
