Up for auction is a great looking and very realistic looking work by listed Chicago area painter Florence Woodman (19th / 20th Century American Artist) We believe that she may also be listed in our 2008 Davneports Art Reference and Price Guide as an English Still Life painter under F. Woodman. The subject matter of this painting is Peaches Resting on Lettuce Leaves on a Table. This fine painting dates anyw from the late 1890s to maybe as late as 1915. The painting is being sold framed. It is an oil painting on canvas. It measures by painting size only 11 inches high by 16 inches across and with the Victorian style frame 17 1/2 inches by 22 1/2 inches. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower right corner "F. Woodman". The painting has a small inch shallow dimple in the black paint in the center left which does not show up well on the pictures. The painting is going to need a good cleaning. We have included a couple of photos of the painting brightened up. T are no holes or restorations. The frame has a few small spots of black paint that has chipped or scratched off . The decoration on three of the four corners is missing. Florence Woodman is listed in the major art research book Who Was Who in American Art. F.
