Offered is this Mustard Jar in the elusive Buff jasperware. The black relief consists of lions faces connected by garlands. This piece is a little over three inches (without its metallic lid) in height and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. It is marked on the base "Wedgwood" only, dating it to the period 1860 to 1890. Mentioned for accuracy are two tiny fleabites to the base rim piping, each perhaps 1/8âe in length (and so innocuous that they are not visible in the photos). T are no other chips, cracks or fleabites. Wear is appropriate to a piece of this vintage but, not surprisingly, the interior is stained from having been used to store mustard...happily, much the same color as the exterior. The relief work is intact with one extremely innocuous missing leaf tip (see if you can find it at the center of photo #2) and hardly a trace of the usual firing separations. Shipping is by USPS Priority Mail to US addresses only. Packing is done with great care using bubble wrap and packing peanuts but insurance is always adviseable for ceramics and seller cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in the mail. Multiple purchases within the same 48 hour period can be shipped together (to the extent safety allows) to save you on shipping. If you have made (or intend to make) multiple purchases and wish to combine shipping, please wait
