" by 20" and is signed "Albers Jr." lower right. Purchased with a number of paintings from the artist's estate. Dates to the 1930s or 1940s.
Albers and his father Anton Sr. were WPA painters and stained glass workers.

Anton P. Albers Jr. ( 1908-1995) studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and worked as an art director in Pennsylvania.
Known primarily as a mural painter, he also was a successful designer of stained glass windows and church decorations.
He exhibited at The Art Alliance, The Academy of Fine Arts, The Society of Independent Artists, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club, as well as in several New York galleries.
