ANTONIO PINEDA SILVER AMETHYST ROD NECKLACE & BRACELET

Up for auction is a stunning, lovely, and heavy Don Antonio Pined a Taxco sterling silver and Amethyst set by the great Maestro de Maestros. Don Antonio Pineda is a famous silver designer from Mexico . The necklace has 10 silver capped Amethyst rods and 33 silver concave links and 1 silver clasp section. The bracelet has 12 silver capped Amethyst rods alternating with 11 silver concave links and 1 silver clasp section. The pieces are fully hallmarked and are beautiful. It has not been professionally cleaned.

I weighed these pieces on 2 different digital scales at home. The weights were both the same on the scales and are reflected in the following. All lengths are approximate, as they are hard to measure exactly since you can't lay them straight. The Bracelet is 235 grams (8.3 oz); 1 7/8" wide and 8 ¾" measuring the outside with it clasped and between 6 ¾" and 7" in wearable wrist length (this wasn't easy to measure). It is marked with a crown hallmark, Sterling Mexico Silver, has an eagle hallmark, 970, ZZ, 666. The Necklace is 189 grams (6.7 oz); 1 ¼"wide on the largest link in the front and approximately 17" in wearable neckline length.
