Ardor Giove Freehand Dublin Fantasy 2004 Unsmoked NR

Auction is for an Ardor Giove freehand Dublin carved by son Damiano. The pipe sports almost perfect 360 degree straight grain with beautiful birdsey displayed on the large surface of the bowl. Gorgeous transluscent orange acrylic stem and ferrule with hints of white swirled in. Stem fits in the shank with a combination tenon / sterling silver military mount. I love this pipe! It's absolutely beautiful.

The Ardor Pipe has a history dating back to 1911, when the four Rovera brothers - Frederico, Carlo, Cornelio and Franscesco of Varese, Italy began the Manufacture of Briar Pipes. T they produced numerous styles of pipes under the Rovera name which were sold throughout Europe. In the early years, the majority of the pipes were machine made and only a small portion were handmade. The pipe factory used the many rivers as a source of power to cut and work the briar.
