Just Add .25 for each additional Button Auction Won AGE: Vintage SIZE: Approx 5/8" x 5/8" by not quite 1/4" thick MATERIAL: Porcelein or Glass SHANK : Self Shank CONDITION: Great I have a vintage button from the 7 Gods set. It is my only duplicate so I am listing it. It is I believe Arita Porcelein but I am not sure how to know for sure. At the very least it is glass not plastic. It feels like soft glass finish. It is handpainted and the detail is really great down to the wrinkles in his forehead. This button is the God of Fukurokuju. Please read below. I copied from the internet. Fukurokuju : ( Fuku means happiness, Roku means riches and Ju means longevity). Fukurokuju originates from an old Chinese tale about a mythical Chinese hermit in the Sung Period who was famous because he performed miracles and was said to embody the celestial powers of the south polar star. He is the god of happiness, wealth, wisdom, virility, fertility, and longevity (long life), and is usually seen holding a stick with a sutra scroll attached to it. He wears garments like those worn by ancient Chinese scholars and likes to play chess. He may have cranes and/or a tortoise (which is the symbol of longevity) near him.
