Mr. Clements owned and excavated the well documented Cherry Valley Mounds and studied extensively along side Greg Perino. His collection and their findings w featured in 1967 in the Central States Archeological Journal. Much of what I will be featuring is well documented and some of it is even pictured. The last picture is of the Clements collection! This spectacular piece is 1 7/16" in length. Made of the Beautifully patanized highly sought after Stunning Crowley's Ridge cobble chert/flint.Outstanding style and craftsmanship from the Middle-Late Archaic period 7,000-5,000 b.p.
