A large, heavy and attractive glass vase typical of those produced in Scandinavia and, more simplistically, Murano (Italy) in the late 1950's and 60's The "Free flow form" of this vase is in the style of Flygsfors Glas (Sweden) or several Danish glass makers. It is approximately 32 cm long, 14 cm at its widest point and nearly 17 cm high (12.5 x 5.5 x 6.5 inches). the base has a diameter of 10.5 cm (3 inches) and the bowl weighs 1120 grams - nearly 2 1/2 pounds. There are several quite large bubbles in the glass - the largest being approximately 8 x 4 mm. In addition there is a long straw mark on the base and several mold marks and other imperfections. This is particularly around the rim of the base - which has several sharp edges, a small nibble and various "rough spots". These are, to some extent, shown in the last photo. The vase has probably been used but is in fair condition - "warts and all" - and can be used for various practical, as well as decorative, purposes.
