Art Covered Compote 6” high standard Ruby Flashed. AKAJacob’s Tears, Job’s Tears, Teardrop and Diamond Block. Non-Flint Adams’s andCompany Pittsburgh PA , introduced in1889 with production continued by the United States Glass Company at Factory A circa 1891. This compote is clear any colors you see in the photographs are reflections of the outdoors where I took the photos. This piece sits upright on level surface and has the lovely bubbles, straw marks and waviness common to this era of glassware. Clarity and color of the glass is excellent. Minor mold roughness at mold lines and around top outside rim. There is a flat chip done in the manufacturing process that the finisher covered with the ruby flashing. There is a bubble near surface on one of the teardrops that forms the base and is not smooth to the touch. One fleabite outside rim of lid. Ruby flashing is in pretty good shape some thin spots please refer to photos. Overall lovely condition and a wonderful pattern. Weight without packing is 3.114 x2 Please email with questions or comments. I have two of these and would be happy to furnish photos of the second it is in very nice condition.
