Arts Crafts Rookwood Vase by Sturgis Laurence Chickens

is an Arts & Crafts Rookwood Vase by Sturgis Laurence for your consideration. Please excuse the photos because this vase was really hard to photograph because the glaze is like a mirror. This vase was produced at the Rookwood Factory in 1897 by artist Sturgis Laurence, his pieces are very desirable and sought after and command high prices. The detail in the chickens that surround the shoulder in incredible as well as the standard glaze glaze that fades to a nice mustard at the bottom. The bottom is clearly signed by the artist with the date 97 and the rookwood logo with 11 flames which coincides with the marked date 1897,shape/size number also present 581E.Has very nice size at 9" tall and 6" at the widest, overall the condition is excellent with 1/2" tight hairline on the rim(this cannot be seen to photograph) and 2 tight lines on the bottom which you can see in the photo, both are very tight and can not be seen under normal viewing. This is truely a great find and the new owner will be very happy with this purchase. The Mission Era Rookwood Vase by Sturgis Laurence is being sold without reserve to insure that it sells! .....please email for shipping cost to your area and i will ship overseas using USPS Express or Priority Mail ONLY!Ask me about possible free shipping to continental United States and discounted rated for International ... read more
