FR#60, Signatures of Speelman-White
Serial no. D64118866A
For sale is a very nice, bold and attractive mid-grade example of a popular collector favorite, the 1917 $2 "Bracelet Back" Legal Tender Note. This note was issued alongside the other nickname notes of the era such as the $1 "Sawhorse" note, the $5 "Woodchopper" note, and the $10 "Jackass" note. It would make a fine addition to such a set. It features Thomas Jefferson at left, a full engraving of the U.S. capitol building, and the intricately beautiful bracelet design on the reverse. This note has seen medium circulation, retaining outstanding crispness to the paper. There are no tears or pinholes save for a small margin split at the top of the right centerfold, of less than 1cm. The ink colors are nice and bold, with great design details. This lovely note would make a nice addition to any coin or currency collection. Enjoy this note at a great price!
