Undated this single handbill is printed only on one side but is likely from the mid to the last quarter of the 19th Century - the handbill states to the Inhabitants of Ulverston and Neighbourhood that he (RBE) is Visiting with a superior apparatus for taking PORTRAITS .. Large or small after the most recent discoveries in the photgraphic art.. RBE would particularly invite attention to his Life-Like Photographs COLOURED IN OIL &c
An interesting and scarce survivor in any state .. (find me another!)
155 mm x 253mm this particular example is in a poor state of health now separated into four pieces with loss and damage to the edges and creases - sold as seen. This item could be conserved to prolong its life..
