This wonderful unsigned Weiss runway necklace brings back glamour and beauty of an age gone by. It was looked at by Marcia (Sparkles) Brown, author and collector of vintage jewelry at the Portland Antique Expo just a few years ago and she agree's...this appears to be one of the many pieces that Weiss jewelry made and did not sign. This bib runway necklace adjusts from 15" to 17" and sports beautiful variations of blue and lavender rhinestones. It's unique design is from the 1960's. Book value of this piece is well over the asking price and will make a terrific addition to your collection of vintage jewelry or for that night out on the town for you ladies that love glamour of yesteryear. The stones are all original and still sparkle with the quality that made Weiss so desirable. There appears to be one small repair on the back of the necklace that can not be captured by the camera...it's that small. History and Description Weiss was founded in 1942 by Albert Weiss, formerly of Coro Jewelers. They produced a wide range of costume jewelry, targeted at both the higher and lower ends of the market. They also incorporated a wide range of designs embracing many of the popular art styles of the time, most noticeably Art Deco.
